BOY HOW TIME FLIES!

Today Emmalee is officially 6 Months Old. It seems like just yesterday we were bringing her home from the hospital. I can't remember not having her! She is a very happy, loving and precious little girl. We went to the doctor yesterday for her follow up from having the ear infections and pink eye. Dr. James went ahead and did her 6 month check up while we were there. Emmalee weighs 17 lbs 10 oz and is 27 1/4 inches long. She is doing wonderful. The doctor asked me if she was sitting up by herself and I told him that she was with assistance. He sat her up on the table and she sat and played and made a liar out of me. I then told him it was the therapist in me providing the contact guard - stand by assist needed. Well that is all that is happening around here.

I just got some pictures off of Nana's camera. Emmalee had a blast taking a bath in Nana's sink. Here are a couple pictures of her playing in the water.

We love you all! We hope everyone has a very Happy Easter! We hope the Easter Bunny brings you lots of fun things!

Two new additions!

Okay, now I have you thinking... what could it be now. Emmalee has 2 new things and we call them Chipper and Chopper.... Can you guess what they are? On Saturday March 31st Emmalee cut her first Tooth (If you said teeth - you were right!!!) The bottom left tooth finally decided it was time to make a clean break! I think he felt lonely and encouraged his neighbor to come out of hiding and see for himself because on Sunday, April 1st the bottom right tooth decided to appear. Emmalee is so funny because she is not sure what to do with her two new teeth, except keep them hidden by her tongue. She sticks her tongue out every time you try to see them. As soon as I am able to get a picture of them I will share!

ROAD TRIP!

On Friday March 30th Emmalee and I went on a road trip to Dewey, Arizona to see my girlfriend Jo Crawford and her son Shane. I also went up to teach a CPR class. While teaching Jo's Mom and Mother-in-law CPR, Jo played with Shane and Emmalee. Shane is almost a year old so he is 6 months older then Emmalee. They were very cute together. Shane crawled all over the place and Emmalee watched him wondering.... hey how are you doing that. I want to do that too. They were so much fun to watch, we laughed so hard. Shortly after we got there Shane got up from a very short nap and we put both kids on the floor. Emmalee was laying on her belly watching Shane. Shane crawled to one side of Emmalee and just looked at her, then he crawled to the other side of her and stared. Emmalee then rolled onto her back and Shane crawled to her feet and grabbed her pants with both hands and pulled..... I started teasing Jo and her husband, Keith that Shane was already trying to get into Emmalee's pants. We all laughed. We sat them facing each other and Emmalee reached out and grabbed two handfuls of hair and Shane just looked at her like - What do you think you are doing. We can't wait to take another road trip or to have Jo and Shane come play at our house. Thanks for a great day! We had a lot of fun. Love Jill and Emmalee

Unexpected visitors!

On Sunday March 25th we had some unexpected visitors! Mom and Dad received a call from out of no where from Greenie.... Also know as Larry Felix. Larry was in town with his kids Carissa now 15 (maybe 16) and Kevin now 10. Boy have they grown up! Here are some picture of them! It was great seeing them.. I won't tell you how many years it has been. (hint hint - lets not make it so long next time!) Love Jill and family

Not feeling so well.....

It is March 24th and we have our first cold. Emmalee's nose has been running for a couple of days and on Thursday night she was fussy - which is really unlike her... she was clingy

and tired. On Friday she still was not acting like herself but when she woke up from her nap her right eye was all full of crusties and yucky so I took her to the doctor. She has double ear infections with pink eye!!! You would never know she did not feel good, she keeps smiling and acting like nothing is wrong, she takes her medicine really well, but HATES the eye drops that have to go in both eyes 4 times a day! Well that is it for now! We love you all! I will keep you posted on how Emmalee is doing!

Love always, Jill and famiy

Welcome Kooper - our newest family member

Joshua got a new pet, his name is Kooper.... He is a Red Eared turtle that lives in a 20 gallon fish tank in the boys room.
He is really neat to watch, he is still trying to get use to all of the movement and noise but is doing great. He does not get up on his docking station much when we are around but I know he will with time. So just wanted to share Kooper with everyone.
Love always, Jill and family

The Arizona Science Center

During Spring Break Bradley, Joshua, Emmalee and I joined Sarah and Hunter for a trip to the Arizona Science Center. The Body World 3 exhibit is currently being shown and we thought it would be educational. I think it was a great way to see the human body and I think the boys learned alot... and had fun. They have an exhibit of embryo's and fetus' and the boys learned alot about how big Emmalee was at what stage.

We also played ALL of the other exhibits. Bradley tried the prism glasses to see if he could still make a basket with the glasses on.... lets just say he missed. Joshua built a tower using almost all of the blocks... he had almost all of them when the tower fell. I got a nice action shot.

We learned about building a house, how the human body works, bugs and all sorts of different things. Emmalee just came along for the ride. She was in a front carrier and she seemed to love to be able to see everything that was going on. She took a short nap and then was back in all the action. Sarah and Hunter - Thanks again for a great day!

Love Jill, Josh, Brad and Emmalee

BROWNIES!!!!

On March 11th Hunter had a half day at school so Emmalee and I went and picked him up from school and he spent the afternoon with us. We had a great time, Hunter and Emmalee played on the floor for a long time, Emmalee loved having Hunter to play with. Hunter and I then put Emmalee in her "play pretty" - as her Daddy calls it (exersaucer) and Hunter and I made brownies.... we followed the directions on the box and added a little .... shake, shake, shake, shake your boodie! We laughed and had fun, Hunter even got brownies on his thumb. Hunter kept saying "Aunt Jill is crazy" to which I would reply "and fun" and Emmalee thought this was hysterical and she just cracked up laughing.....I got it on video! = ) Hunter thanks for spending the afternoon with us, we really enjoyed having you and we can't wait to do it again!
Love always Aunt Jill and Emmalee - the brownies were great!

Jump, Jump, Jump - I love to JUMP!!!

Emmalee got a new thing to play in.... not that she needed another toy or anything, but we got her a Johnny Jump Up - it hangs in the doorway... She loves it. I had her in the doorway to the back patio and Josh and I did some things in the yard, Nana came over and watched Emmalee jump and then had to run to an appointment. I am going to up date the last couple of weeks... my sister is giving me a hard time again!!! Hurry up and get here Jodie and then you can update my blog....hehehehe.. we can't wait to see you guys!
Nashoba was not sure if she wanted to go past Emmalee or not... Emmalee was perfect level to get two handfuls of hair. She eventually went past her and Emmalee just laid her hands on her and petted Nashoba as she passed.
Okay onto the next entry! Love to you all! Jill and family

HAPPY BIRTHDAY PAPA JIM! March 10

Okay, now we are getting closer to the date... hehehe it is March 11th here (almost the 12th). Papa Jim celebrated his **rd birthday! We were going to celebrate it on Saturday but the day got away from us and so we decided to celebrate it on Sunday! Papa Jim cooked steaks (Yes, he made his own birthday dinner) The steaks were delicious as always. We then suprised him with a banana split pie! Which was also really good! Papa Jim - we hope you had a wonderful day! Thank you for letting us share it with you. We wish Jodie, Jan, James and Jenna could have been here to share it with us too! You are loved very much by many many people. We hope you have many, many more birthdays! We love you! Happy Birthday Big Brother Josh! March 3rd

Last Saturday - March 3rd Joshua turned 16 years old! We spent the day together just hanging out and then Josh asked that we go to Red Robin (a hamburger restaurant) for his birthday so Papa Jim, Nana, Rob, Josh, Brad, Emmalee and I went and had dinner. We had a really nice time. There were a lot of little ones there and everyone was commenting on how cute Emmalee is! She was a little cranky when we got there but soon fell asleep. She is now eating a little bit of rice cereal at night so we fed her a little at the restaurant and then came home to finish the rest and have cake!! Josh made a wish and blew all 17 (one to grow on) candles out in one breath! Josh, we hope you had a wonderful birthday and many, many, many more! We love you! You are a wonderful young man and we appreciate all you do! Love always, Dad, Jill, Brad, Emmalee, Papa Jim and Nana Phyllis!

Hawaii - 2007

First let me start by wishing Mom and Dad a belated 42 Wedding Anniversary - February 21, 2007.

On Feb 22, eight couples headed for a 5 night - 6 day trip to Hawaii. Grandma Rosemary flew in from LA to stay with Emmalee and visit with the boys. THANK YOU GRANDMA ROSEMARY, WE MISS YOU AND LOVE YOU!
We had a terrific trip lots of sun shine, a little bit of rain, and lots of umbrella drinks! The guys golfed on 2 of the days at two very nice golf resorts. Julie, Bernie and I swam with dolphins (we actually got to do a dorsal fin ride and they pushed us under our feet). We enjoyed a luau (I even tried things I thought I would never try! It was a terrific trip until the lady at the airport on the way home (counter 28 is another story). We had a great time but we were also happy to come home. Thanks Tom, Diane, Mom and Dad for hosting such a nice trip!

Can you see the rainbow between the buildings? This was the view to the left from our room on the 10th floor of the Sheraton Waikiki and then the one of the beach was our view straight out and to the right. The picture of the sun set was taken from the pool bar at the hotel. I can now say that I have been to Hawaii! On one of the days Rob and I took the rental car and we drove all over the Island. It was very beautiful! We went in a tunnel through the mountains to the other side of the island and then drove the coast up to the North shore and then down by the Dole Plantation and back to our hotel. We have a lot more picture to share at a later time! Okay on to the next entry with more pictures of Emmalee! Love to you all! Jill and Family!
