Santa and Mrs. Santa

Every year we go to a neighborhood just South of our house with Aunt Sarah and Hunter to see Santa and Mrs. Santa. Last year Emmalee loved seeing Mrs. Santa This year her brother Bradley decided to help her by dressing up as Santa and helping Emmalee become more comfortable. Emmalee decided that she wanted to dress up too. Bradley sat on her lap and told her what he wanted for Christmas. So we ventured to see Santa and Mrs. Santa...
Hunter went up and was talking to them and Emmalee decided that she wanted to see Mrs Santa... so Emmalee sat on Mrs. Santa's lap and when she was done she thought about it and actually went and sat on Santa's lap and gave him a hug.

Merry Christmas - You better watch out - You better not cry - You better not pout - Emmalee's telling you why - Cause Santa Claus is coming to town!

Hunter's Baptism

On the evening of December 13th Hunter was baptised - We are all very proud of him and happy to be a part of his special day! The service was held at Central Christian Church in Mesa. Hunter choose two special people from the church to perform the ceremony. The gentleman - Lance made a point of being there - 9 days prior to the service Lance had to have open heart surgery! He was still able to be there for Hunter! Hunter you are a very special little man and we are blessed to have you in our lives. Thank you for allowing us to share your special day with you! We love you very much and are very proud of you!

On Sunday, we had some cake and ice cream to celebrate Hunters day!

Meeting Santa and Santa Cow

On December 13th we went to meet Santa and Santa Cow. We went to the Bass Pro Shop to meet Santa and they were handing out tickets and you were supposed to come back at or after the time posted on the card. We were there at 11:00 and our ticket was for 1:00, so we went over to Chick-fil-a and had some lunch and met Santa Cow. Emmalee was very unsure of him this year, she would not walk near him and would only take her picture with him if Jenna was holding her. Hunter did not want his picture taken with Santa Cow this year. We finally made it back to Bass Pro Shop and it was wonderful that we were able to go to the front of the line.... Many people were angry with us but we were doing exactly what we were told to do. We had a picture of the 3 kids taken with Santa... Emmalee was still very unsure of Santa.... Then Santa had a nice chat with Jenna telling her what a good girl she is and encouraging her to finish school and follow her dreams.

Then it was Emmalee's turn and she wanted nothing to do with Santa - Santa did pick her up and posed with her.

If you ask Emmalee what she said to Santa she says "Mommy - I need you"

The pictures that Bass Pro Shop took were not as good as the ones we took!

We decided to take some pictures by the big Christmas Tree located inside Bass Pro Shop! We had a nice morning/afternoon!

It is definatly beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

Papaw's Birthday!

December 7th was my Papaw's birthday! I did not forget his birthday - I called him and talked with him but I did not make it on the computer to wish him a Very Happy Birthday!

"Our" - My Papaw is a wonderful man, husband, father, grandfather and friend! We are all as sweet as we are because we take after our Papaw!

Wynnona Judd Christmas Concert

My girlfriend Shannon and I went to see Wynnona Judd in concert for her Holiday show. Shannon and I had the pleasure of meeting Wynnona years ago when she played at the Flamingo in Laughlin! Shannon and I left right before the end of her show and went into the parking garage next to where her bus was parked! When she was done with her concert she went straight to her bus - we yelled and she actually signed autographs for us and talked with us! She is an incredible person and an amazing singer! Thanks Shannon - I had a wonderful time!

Roadtrip!

While Grandma Rosemary and Grandpa Al were in town we decided to take a drive up to Strawberry, Arizona and have lunch! It was a bit chilly up there but we had a very nice ride! We actually saw trees with leaves that were a different color than green! We had a very nice lunch at the Strawberry Inn and then drove through the woods - there were patches of snow on the ground - Emmalee takes after her Mommy - she liked the bouncing of the woods and fell asleep!!!!

Thanksgiving!

We had some very special visitors for Thanksgiving!!!! Grandma Rosemary and Grandpa Al came from Louisiana to visit us! We enjoyed Thanksgiving dinner at our house. Papa Jim, Nana, Aunt Jodie and Jenna came over. Josh and Brad were here with us and then two of Mommies friends from work and one of their daughters joined us (Jana and her daughter Skylar and Marissa) We had a very nice meal... We had Turkey, ham, oyster dressing, cornbread dressing, 2 types of sweetpotatoes/yams, greenbean casserole, rolls, cranberry sause (2 kinds), pumpkin pie, pecan pie, a frozen fruit pie and Dutch Apple pie. It was all delicious.

While we were waiting for the food to be ready - Grandma Rosemary decided to try out Bradley's birthday present - the Trampoline with Emmalee and all the kids!

We had a great day! With great family and friends! We were missing some and hopefully they will be able to be with us next year!

Big Girl Bed

I have been really bad at getting information on my blog and I appologize - I am going to attempt to catch up!

Just before Thanksgiving we made some changes in Emmalee's room.... No more Baby Bed! We took down Emmalee's crib and arranged her bedroom so that she would have her BIG GIRL BED! She was not really sure about it but once she realized she could climb into it all by herself she thought it was the greatest thing! Anyone that comes to visit has to see her BIG GIRL BED!!! She is doing great and most nights sleeps through the night... She has only gotten out of it once and met me in the doorway screaming.... normally she just lays in bed and yells - "Mommy, I need you!" over and over and over until someone comes and gets her!!!
