Meet Chopper and Chipper

Nana Phyllis really wanted everyone to meet Chopper and Chipper so she took a lot of pictures in the hopes that they would make an appearance. I think Emmalee loved having all of the attention. Finally Chopper and Chipper came out of hiding. You have to look closely! Emmalee thinks that now that she has Chopper and Chipper she should be able to eat big people food. She scooted/crawled over to where her brother Bradley was eating his burrito and grabbed ahold of it and rolled over to have some. She wasn't to happy that we would not let her eat it. Emmalee is eating cereal with fruits in the morning and cereal with vegetable at night. She is doing really well with solids.... I can't beleive how quickly things change! We love everyone!!! Only 10 days until our Aunt Jodie and cousin Jenna get here. We wish Uncle Jan and cousin James were coming too. We will see them in July so I quess that is okay.

C21 Spring Picnic

Last Sunday the 22nd of April, Century 21 had their Spring Picnic. We had a great time. It was a beautiful day... except for all of the wind. Emmalee wore a very cute spring outfit with a hat... she actually left the hat on for most of the day! Her big brothers took her into the bouncy before all the other kids arrived. Emmalee is just like her Daddy... she can sleep anywhere! It was a terrific picnic as usual. Emmalee wants to Thank Papa Jim, Nana, Grampa Tom and Grandma Diane for such a fun day!!!

Easter was a very long day....

Easter was a wonderful day! Emmalee played really hard! We put her in the swing while we ate (she had already eaten her meal....) Her cousin Sue could not stand to see her sleep like this so she moved her and woke her up! Isn't she cute!!!

Nana's trip to Mississippi

Nana went to Mississippi for a week to see Mamaw, Papaw, Uncle Jimmy and Aunt Margie. Papaw and Uncle Jimmy went to Starkville for Papaw's 68 year High School reunion. Nana had a wonderful time and took lots of pictures. Jodie she is starting to take after you and me... I don't know if we can handle the competition.! We love you Nana!!!! Here are some of the pictures she took! The sign is posted over near where Grandma Nina's house use to be. Love to everyone from Papa Jim, Nana Phyllis, Rob, Jill, Josh, Bradley and Emmalee

BOY HOW TIME FLIES!

Today Emmalee is officially 6 Months Old. It seems like just yesterday we were bringing her home from the hospital. I can't remember not having her! She is a very happy, loving and precious little girl. We went to the doctor yesterday for her follow up from having the ear infections and pink eye. Dr. James went ahead and did her 6 month check up while we were there. Emmalee weighs 17 lbs 10 oz and is 27 1/4 inches long. She is doing wonderful. The doctor asked me if she was sitting up by herself and I told him that she was with assistance. He sat her up on the table and she sat and played and made a liar out of me. I then told him it was the therapist in me providing the contact guard - stand by assist needed. Well that is all that is happening around here.

I just got some pictures off of Nana's camera. Emmalee had a blast taking a bath in Nana's sink. Here are a couple pictures of her playing in the water.

We love you all! We hope everyone has a very Happy Easter! We hope the Easter Bunny brings you lots of fun things!

Two new additions!

Okay, now I have you thinking... what could it be now. Emmalee has 2 new things and we call them Chipper and Chopper.... Can you guess what they are? On Saturday March 31st Emmalee cut her first Tooth (If you said teeth - you were right!!!) The bottom left tooth finally decided it was time to make a clean break! I think he felt lonely and encouraged his neighbor to come out of hiding and see for himself because on Sunday, April 1st the bottom right tooth decided to appear. Emmalee is so funny because she is not sure what to do with her two new teeth, except keep them hidden by her tongue. She sticks her tongue out every time you try to see them. As soon as I am able to get a picture of them I will share!

ROAD TRIP!

On Friday March 30th Emmalee and I went on a road trip to Dewey, Arizona to see my girlfriend Jo Crawford and her son Shane. I also went up to teach a CPR class. While teaching Jo's Mom and Mother-in-law CPR, Jo played with Shane and Emmalee. Shane is almost a year old so he is 6 months older then Emmalee. They were very cute together. Shane crawled all over the place and Emmalee watched him wondering.... hey how are you doing that. I want to do that too. They were so much fun to watch, we laughed so hard. Shortly after we got there Shane got up from a very short nap and we put both kids on the floor. Emmalee was laying on her belly watching Shane. Shane crawled to one side of Emmalee and just looked at her, then he crawled to the other side of her and stared. Emmalee then rolled onto her back and Shane crawled to her feet and grabbed her pants with both hands and pulled..... I started teasing Jo and her husband, Keith that Shane was already trying to get into Emmalee's pants. We all laughed. We sat them facing each other and Emmalee reached out and grabbed two handfuls of hair and Shane just looked at her like - What do you think you are doing. We can't wait to take another road trip or to have Jo and Shane come play at our house. Thanks for a great day! We had a lot of fun. Love Jill and Emmalee

Unexpected visitors!

On Sunday March 25th we had some unexpected visitors! Mom and Dad received a call from out of no where from Greenie.... Also know as Larry Felix. Larry was in town with his kids Carissa now 15 (maybe 16) and Kevin now 10. Boy have they grown up! Here are some picture of them! It was great seeing them.. I won't tell you how many years it has been. (hint hint - lets not make it so long next time!) Love Jill and family
