ONE COOL CAT!

Emmalee has her moments when she likes to wear her baseball hats - this morning she decided she wanted to wear one! She put it on like her brothers do!!! Isn't she cute!

AZ Diamondbacks Game

Rob, Jenna, Joshua and I went to see the AZ Diamondbacks take on the Atlanta Braves. We were basically in the 2nd row in Left field. Conner Jackson hit a foul ball down the Left baseline and the Golden Glover that was seated in front of us got it off the field. He passed by all of the boys who were hollering at him for the ball and gave it to Jenna! It was pouring rain when we left so we had to run to the parking garage to get the truck! It was a fun game and I think everyone had a great time!
Chris Snyder came out to help the team warm up between innings - he was right in front of us!

Papa Jim lovin!

Papa Jim has had lifting restrictions due to having his pacemaker placed so he has not been able to pick up any of his grandchildren - No one said they couldn't sit on him!

Walking Tall

Bradley decided that he wanted to make and use a pair of stilts - so Rob and Bradley went to work making stilts. Emmalee was not sure what to think of her brother on these things! Bradley got pretty good at them, he was trying to walk from our house around the corner to Papa Jim and Nana's. He even got to where he could go from the sidewalk to the grass without falling. I stopped counting how many steps he was taking when he reached 20.

Emmalee's first D-backs game!

GO D-BACKS

Aunt Sarah and Hunter invited Emmalee and me to go to see the Arizona Diamondbacks take on the Los Angeles Dodgers - Emmalee learned to say BEAT LA!!! Emmalee was not very sure of the whole thing to begin with, if there was any yelling she would hide her face in my neck. Several times she said - "Go Bye Bye Mommy". After about 15 minutes she started getting use to the yelling and started playing with everyone around us. She made fast friends with the 5 guys behind us. They offered her popcorn and she politely took one piece at a time - at first - then she realized she could take a hand full too, that was what everyone else was doing!!

Emmalee even started yelling when everyone around her was yelling and clapping! Hunter! Emmalee and Mommy!

I would share a picture of Sarah and Hunter but I did not bring my camera and I stole this pictures from Sarah and Hunter's blog!

Thanks for taking us!!!!! I have to comment on how smart Emmalee is! it was about 2 weeks later and we were watching the D-backs on TV while she was drinking her evening milk sippy cup - and she started saying Beat LA - at first I could not understand her and then she pointed at the TV and said Beat LA. She knew exactly what she was trying to tell me. I think we were even playing LA in LA.

Helping Papa Jim and Nana

Mommy's little helper enjoys helping everyone! Emmalee likes to crack the eggs for whatever it is Papa Jim or Nana are cooking (she even tries to help when the recipe does not call for eggs) Papa Jim was making pancakes for everyone on this particular morning -

Rolling up the sleeves!

Cracking the egg on the side of the bowl! I think we may have a LEFTY!

Check out the egg white (it is real close to Emmalee)

Separating the egg - Like this Papa Jim?

Yes, we used Extra Eggs!!!!! No one said anything if they got some egg shell with their pancakes!

She is very interested in trying and learning!!! I love it and have no problem with her getting messy - unless we are trying to leave or something!!!
Love always,
Jill

A new person to follow!

Emmalee loves following her older brothers around, when she hasn't seen Bradley for awhile she becomes his shadow for the whole time he is with us. Jodie and Jenna are home and Emmalee loves that she has someone else to follow! If Jenna goes to her room, Emmalee thinks it means she can go to! The are quite a pair!!! Emmalee loves all of the girly things that Jenna has, like all of her bling bling! We are very happy (and sad) to have Jodie and Jenna with us! I am very proud of everything Jenna is doing and trying! We wish James was here too and that things were different but unfortunately they are the way they are!

Marvel the horse

Mamaw and Papaw sent Emmalee a horse to ride - His name is Marvel. Jodie, Kelly and I all played on one when we were little. Emmalee was not too sure of it to begin with but now she really enjoys riding it all over the house. I thought it was funny when Rob first saw Marvel his first words were - "I had one of those when I was little and so did all the kids on the street so we would have races up and down the block." Thank you Mamaw and Papaw for sending Marvel to Emmalee!!! We all love it and appreciate it!

Mommy's little helper

I decided one morning to make some Banana Pudding - this is one of my favorite desserts! I have wonderful memories of making Banana Pudding with my Mamaw every time I would go to Mississippi to visit! Emmalee wanted to help Mommy - First she helped by eating the bananas and vanilla wafers - my hands were covered in banana so I could not get a picture, but then she assisted me in stirring the pudding - Notice the dish with the bananas and wafers to the right of Emmalee.she did not want to stop stirring but I wanted to make sure it would pour onto the bananas and wafers. Finally, I had her help me pour the pudding into the pan, we had some left over so I decided to make to pudding cups for later.... needless to say Emmalee had a different plan - as I was placing the 1st on into the refrigerator for it to chill Emmalee decided to taste the 2nd one. The funny thing is she knew she did not have a spoon or fork so she used her tongue!!!! I had a blast having her help me and it was great to see her want to help! Thanks for always making it with me Mamaw!!!!

Love to all!
