Hawaii - 2007

First let me start by wishing Mom and Dad a belated 42 Wedding Anniversary - February 21, 2007.

On Feb 22, eight couples headed for a 5 night - 6 day trip to Hawaii. Grandma Rosemary flew in from LA to stay with Emmalee and visit with the boys. THANK YOU GRANDMA ROSEMARY, WE MISS YOU AND LOVE YOU!
We had a terrific trip lots of sun shine, a little bit of rain, and lots of umbrella drinks! The guys golfed on 2 of the days at two very nice golf resorts. Julie, Bernie and I swam with dolphins (we actually got to do a dorsal fin ride and they pushed us under our feet). We enjoyed a luau (I even tried things I thought I would never try! It was a terrific trip until the lady at the airport on the way home (counter 28 is another story). We had a great time but we were also happy to come home. Thanks Tom, Diane, Mom and Dad for hosting such a nice trip!

Can you see the rainbow between the buildings? This was the view to the left from our room on the 10th floor of the Sheraton Waikiki and then the one of the beach was our view straight out and to the right. The picture of the sun set was taken from the pool bar at the hotel. I can now say that I have been to Hawaii! On one of the days Rob and I took the rental car and we drove all over the Island. It was very beautiful! We went in a tunnel through the mountains to the other side of the island and then drove the coast up to the North shore and then down by the Dole Plantation and back to our hotel. We have a lot more picture to share at a later time! Okay on to the next entry with more pictures of Emmalee! Love to you all! Jill and Family!

Good Job Jill, The mountain out out window was Diamond Head. It is an inactive volcano and very popular with pictures from Hawaii.

The Wakiki Beach is 2.5 miles long and has 65 hotels and 125 ABC stores. The ABC shops are booze small gifts, T-shirts etc.
