October 4th we had Emmalee's 2nd Birthday Party! We had it at Papa Jim and Nana's because we thought it might be warm enough to swim - it turned out to be an overcast day with a threat of rain. We had a house full and it was great!!! Emmalee was a little shy at first but it did not last long. We had pizza, pizza, and more pizza... then it was time for Emmalee to open her presents! She has said she wanted a fish or a Nemo for several weeks now so her Daddy, brothers and I got her a Little Mermaid Fishtank with a Beta fish that she has named "Nemo". It was sitting on the counter next to her with a towel over it... she finished eating and decided she wanted to know what was under that towel... she that it was really cool that there was a fish there but I don't know if she really understands that it is her fish!!! We shall see when we get Nemo moved to her bedroom. After finding and opening Nemo, Emmalee decided it was time to open all of the gifts! She received some wonderful presents and she enjoyed showing them off to everyone!
After she opened all of her presents she wanted to go outside and play with the big kids. They all went out front and played football, keep away, boys against girls..... Even Daddy got in on the fun!!! Emmalee was not real happy when her Brother Bradley got tackled, it looks like she was in on the tackle but she actually was trying to pull everyone off of her Bradley!!! She then had to go check in on her brother Josh and make sure he was okay.... as you can see most of the presents she received are in the stroller she received - she is still pushing it around today!
We called everyone one in and had some cake.... Everybody sang Happy Birthday to Emmalee which was a little overwhelming - she did great.
She even blew out the candle with a little help from the Mommy!!
Then after she enjoyed her cake and wore it ear to ear... she even shared with her Uncle Dennis Senst (can't wait to see those pictures) her Daddy checked to make sure there wasn't any cake left behind her ears.
We enjoyed a beautiful sunset which left wonderful light on the trees in the neighborhood! It was a beautiful end to a beautiful day!
Thank you to everyone who was able to come and share in Emmalee's 2nd birthday and we missed those who were not able to be here!!
Love always, Jill, Rob, Josh, Brad and Emmalee Rose!!!
